Dragon Lord

Doug is currently working on a Green Lantern with Paul Gulacy. It will be printed in 3 Prestige books. The story takes place in ancient China.

Creator Owned Sci-Fi

Doug and Paul are also working on an edgy sci-fi story with lots of big sweeping panoramic panels. The title is still in the works (and I'll let you know more as Doug gives me the ok -KJ).

BBC Conspiracy and Unexplained Show

Doug has been interviewed by the BBC and will be appearing in a number of episodes of the 13 part series.

Catwoman: Guardian of Gotham

Outlaws

That is the tentative title of a book including Batman, Robin, Batgirl, The Huntress, Nightwing, Catwoman, and Orical. It will either be a 6 issue mini-series or printed in 6 issues of Batman, Detective, and Shadow of the Bat. The main story line is a federal anti vigilantes group tries to hunt down all of Gotham's costumed people. They are Cyborg and have high-tech helicopters and equipment the allows them to identify Batman and the rest of them by the pulse of the capillaries in the top of their heads.

Book of the Dead

Book of the Dead is back on track.

Haunted Gotham

The first two books will included the origins of Batman and the Joker. The Joker will be Frankenstein's Monster made from stitched together parts. His face will be that of the assassinated Thomas Wayne.

The 3rd book of Haunted Gotham is called Shattered Serpent. It will be a one parter featuring a new villain named Ophidian a.ka. Snake Face. He is a humanoid snake creature created by a meteor crashing into Earth.

Moon Knight: High Strangeness

The first Moon Knight will be out in a couple of weeks. The other issues will be released weekly.

Thing and Wolverine

Art: Mark Texiera
Mark is know for his work on Ghost Rider.

Batman Masters Book

The Batman Masters card collection has been printed in a large hard back book.

Catwoman: Guardian of Gotham

The first book is complete.

Belzer's Conspiracy Chronicles

The 2nd Daft of the TV Show has been turned in.

Untitled Elseworlds

There is the possibility of Doug and Andy Helfer doing a Justice League of America Elseworlds.

Batman Vampire Trilogy

There are rumors that Red Rain, Blood Storm, and Crimson Mist will be bound together into a 300+ page book.

Haunted Gotham is scheduled for release in 1999. It will be in "Prestige" format, similar to "Serpent's Tooth". Each issue will be 48 pages, and the set will contain between four and six issues. The first story will be a two-book set.

The script for the pilot episode of "Belzer's Conspiracy Chronicles" has been turned in to HBO. The show will be animated, and star Richard Belzer (picture below) of "Homocide" as the Man in Black narrator of the show. "Belzer's Conspiracy Chronicles" is based on the Big Book of Conspiracies and the Big Book of the Unexplained. The first episode features the stories: "Coincidence or Consequence?", "The Astronauts and the Aliens", and "The Psychadelic CIA".

The next Moon Knight miniseries will be released weekly in December. There is a black and white copy of the first splash page below.


Paul Gulacy is working on Master of Kung-Fu and has been quoted as saying "Doug, you are the Mark McGuire of writing!"

Doug has finished "Book of the Dead", the first 29 pages have been penciled and lettered.

Jim Balent is back to work on "Guardian of Gotham".

Thing/Wolverine Special

Thing and Wolverine team up against Annihlus in the Negative Zone. This book will be a "bookshelf" one shot.

Shang-Chi: Immortal Blood

This 2 issue "Bookshelf" format featuring Shang-Chi, Leiko, Tarr, and Reston vs. "Immortal" Villain Saint Germanin. Shang-Chi is going to get a new outfit. Paul is planing on visiting Doug in the near future, we hope to have more then.
